Risk disclosure — read this one

MENTA Tip is custodial. That is the trade-off.

When you deposit, we hold your crypto for you. That is what makes tipping instant and free — but it means you are trusting an operator, exactly as you would with an exchange. If you want sole control of your keys, keep your funds in your own wallet and only deposit what you intend to tip.

Treat it as pocket money, not savings

MENTA is built for small community balances: tips, drops, prizes. It is not a bank, a savings account, or a place to store meaningful wealth. Balances are not insured by any government scheme, and there is no deposit protection of any kind.

What could go wrong

Operator risk. Servers can be compromised, keys can be lost, mistakes happen. We split hot and cold storage and publish live proof of reserves to make problems visible early, but no system removes this risk.
Blockchain risk. Sending to the wrong address or the wrong network usually means the funds are permanently unrecoverable. On WAX, a deposit without your memo needs manual rescue and may not always be possible.
Token risk. We list thousands of tokens. Listing is not an endorsement, an audit, or a claim that a token has value. Many will go to zero. Some tax their own transfers; some may be outright scams by their creators.
Availability risk. Chains halt, nodes fail, Discord goes down. Deposits and withdrawals may be delayed or paused.

Nothing here or in the bot — including prices, market caps, rankings or featured placements — is investment advice or a recommendation to buy anything. Featured slots are a paid or promotional placement, not a quality signal. Do your own research.

Terms of service

What you get

A custodial balance you can tip, drop, rain and withdraw with, across the chains and tokens we support. The service is provided as is, free of charge for community use, with no guarantee of uptime, performance, or continued availability of any particular token or chain.

Fees, in full

There is no charge to add MENTA Tip, hold a balance, or move value between members: tips, rains, airdrops and every game drop take no cut whatsoever — the amount you send is the amount that arrives.

Withdrawals carry a flat $0.02 fee on Optimism, Arbitrum, Avalanche and Polygon, taken from the withdrawal in the token being sent and converted at the live price. It covers the network gas, which on those chains runs between $0.0002 and $0.004; the margin exists so the fee does not need changing every time gas moves, not as a revenue line. WAX is free (it has no per-transaction cost). Base is free for as long as we fund its gas ourselves — if that reserve runs down the chain moves to the same $0.02 rather than stopping, and the site says so at the time. Ethereum mainnet and BNB Chain are not currently available: mainnet gas is too expensive to run honestly, and BNB Chain has no usable public node for our deposit scanner.
Peer-to-peer trades charge the taker 1% of the asset they receive. The maker is paid exactly the amount their offer advertised, and the fee is printed on the offer card before anyone commits to it. Nothing is taken from an offer that expires or is cancelled — escrow is returned in full.
Auto-mode house cards. Between rounds of an auto-hosted game session, MENTA may show one promotional card for another product we run. It never interrupts a live round, and a server admin can switch it off in /setup without losing any other feature.
Some tokens charge their own transfer tax on-chain. That is the token's rule, not ours; we credit and debit the amount that actually moved.

If we ever introduce a new fee, it will be stated here and on the front page before it applies.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for your Discord account's security. Anyone who controls your Discord account controls your MENTA balance. Enable two-factor authentication.
Send only supported assets, on the stated network, to the address the bot gives you — and on WAX, always include your memo.
Check withdrawal addresses carefully. On-chain transfers cannot be reversed by us or anyone.
You confirm you are of legal age where you live and that using a custodial crypto service is lawful there.

What we may do

Pause deposits or withdrawals for a token or chain — for example during an incident, or when a payout wallet needs funding. Where a pause is deliberate, we state it publicly rather than failing silently; the reserves page and the site's chain table show live status.
Freeze an account we reasonably believe is being used for fraud, theft, abuse of other users, or to break the law.
Delist a token, or refuse to list one, for any reason.
Correct errors. If a bug credits someone money that was never received, we will reverse it — visibly, as a new ledger entry, never by silently editing history.
Change these terms. Material changes will be announced before they take effect.

If the service ever shuts down

We will announce it in advance and keep withdrawals open for a clearly stated wind-down period so people can take their funds out. The failure mode that motivated this project — a tip bot going quiet while holding user balances — is the one we intend never to repeat.

Limits of liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, CHAD Labs is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, for losses caused by user error (wrong address, wrong network, missing memo, compromised Discord account), for the value of any token, or for third-party failures including Discord, blockchains, RPC providers and price feeds.

Privacy

What we store

Your Discord user ID and username, so balances have an owner.
Your balances and transaction history — an append-only ledger of every transfer, which by design is never deleted or edited.
Deposit addresses derived for you, and the on-chain transactions associated with them.
Server IDs and channel IDs where you use the bot, plus a timestamp of recent activity so features like $rain can find active members.

What we do not collect

No email, no legal name, no address, no phone number, no documents. We do not read your messages beyond commands directed at the bot and answers to open game drops in the channel where they run. We do not sell data, and we do not run advertising trackers on this site.

What is public

Amounts, assets and transfer types appear on the public ledger feed and reserves page. Identities are not attached to them — the feed says "a member tipped a member". Tips announced in a channel are, of course, visible to that channel. Blockchain transactions are public by nature.

Deletion

You may ask us to remove your username and disassociate your account. Ledger entries themselves cannot be deleted — they are what makes the books provable — but they can be detached from your identity once your balance is zero. Withdraw first, then ask.

Fair use & abuse

Rate limits, per-user daily withdrawal caps and per-server rules exist to keep the service usable and solvent. Attempting to farm tips with fake accounts, exploit bugs, or move funds for someone else's fraud will get an account frozen and, where funds are stolen, reported.

If you find a bug — especially one affecting balances — tell us before using it. Reporting it in good faith is treated as help, not as an offence.

One honest note about jurisdiction

Custodial crypto services are regulated differently around the world, and rules for holding other people's funds can be strict. MENTA is offered for small community tipping and is not available where that would be unlawful. If you are unsure whether you may use it, assume you should not until you have checked.
